While Silent Survivor is a work of fiction, this page-turner deals with several significant and timely issues we face today: the PTSD so many of our veterans suffer  as a result of multiple tours of duty in ill-conceived Middle East wars and sexual assault in the military and on college campuses. The author weaves these themes into a suspenseful thriller as ex-Army nurse, Mackenzie Dodd teams up with white hat hacker, Viv Wallach to investigate the cause of a neurological illness that has afflicted  fellow vets.
